Good points:

Build quality No nonsense brand

Bad points:

Ride not very sporty Dashboard lighting too fussy

I have now owned my VW Golf V5 for three years from new. Except for a jammed rear passenger window, it has provided trouble free motoring for this entire time. The engine is very smooth and provides plenty of sporty performance around town and on the motorway but isnt particularly frugal. On the downside the handling doesnt really do justice to the car - it provides a reasonable ride over pot holes but falls short of the mark when you are looking to have some fun on twistier roads. Build quality is excellent and has coped well with a young family.

Practicality: 8/10

Performance: 7/10

Value for money: 8/10
