Vauxhall Astra review by Keith Bown8-13-2005
Overall rating: 9/10 Good points: Having previously owned 2 mk 3 Astras (and regretting selling them!) I am really impressed with the mk 4 version! Mine is the 1.4LS version and, despite having only owned this vehicle for a couple of weeks, I am really pleased with performance and economy (45mpg at the moment!). Just been to North Yorks Moors and it made mincemeat of those hills! Interior spec good with good quality radio/cd unit - air con etc. Bad points: None so far, although I would like to have seen elec windows all round, not just the front. Main review: My previous vehicle was a SAAB 2.3 SE turbo auto, therefore I was a little concerned that ride comfort and performance would detract from this vehicle - not so! It handles well and feels solid, accelerates well when required (even from a 'lowly' 1.1 engine!)
