Overall rating: 3/10 Good points: styling, ride and economy Bad points: bad points, where do i start, reliability, poor build quality, poor dealer customer service and poor renault UK service!! Main review: Bought brand new sept 2004 broke down within days leaving me stranded for 3 hours, been into the dealer 10 times in 5 months with probs, leaking boot spoiler, tried 3 times to fix & still leaks, new rear wiper fitted, both doors dropped and re-aligned, strangest fault is that the sunroof opens itself on icey mornings when starting car and this should never be opened iced up, percistant sunroof rattle, plastic trim fell off, heater made weird noises, numerous paint problems, drivers side wing was not finished and felt like sandpaper, and paint had dark patches on grille, bonnet both wings and above doors. storage holes in floor, one of them became really wet and damaged everything in it. Renault Manchester dealer services was shocking. Damaged paintwork with numerous scratches. all i was told when i requested a replacement vehicle was thats why they have a warrenty, not really what you want to hear after spending 12k, dealer eventually agreed a replacement after speaking with renault uk and a total of 12 weeks hassle, and when this came it had a dent, missing electrochrome mirror and had paint patches on grille, i was then told they wouldn't fix it and refused to give me another and they told me i was getting my money back and to go elsewhere. i lost out alot and lost days off and hols sorting this out. i wouldn't recommend the megane II or the Manchester dealership!!!
