Ford Focus C Max review by john robinson12-3-2004
Overall rating: 9/10 Good points: Driving position. Ease of getting in and out. Good access to controls with a nice gear lever position and gear change. Ease of loading luggage into "boot". Firm seats suit elderly backs! Bad points: I have only had the car a few weeks but am concerned about the high petrol consumption. I have the 120bhp engine. I am only getting 34mpg on journeys on which I would expect to get 40. Feedback from other owners would be appreciated. Main review: The car has a nice solid feel and drives well. It holds the road well and at motorway speeds wind and road noise are not excessive. Instrumentation and dash layout are good if somewhat uninspired. My only real cause for concern is the petrol consumption which seems much than Ford's figures.
Reliability: 7/10 Practicality: 9/10 Performance: 7/10 Value for money: 8/10
