Fiat Punto review by L Curtis

5-14-2005

Overall rating: 7/10

Good points:

I've driven a Punto Mia for the past 4 years and was reasonably pleased with it, though visibility was not too good on roundabouts due to the wide pillars between the doors and windscreen. Unfortunately, I have this week had a crash and the car has been written off. I must say I was very impressed with how the car protected me in this crash. Though the damage to the front of the car was extensive, the cabin was completely intact. When I think the engine could have shifted backwards and trapped my legs, I realise I was very lucky and, therefore, impressed with how the car protected me.

Bad points:

As stated, all round visibility is not too brilliant, but you do get used to it.

Main review:

A tidy car to drive and own. I particularly like the dualdrive which comes into its own when parking in a tight spot. I wish more cars had this facility

Reliability: 9/10

Practicality: 8/10

Performance: 8/10

Value for money: 8/10
