Citroen C3 review by Terry Wilkinson 3-10-2004 Overall rating: 6/10 Good points: Great engine 1.4 HDI 92 16 valve, lively and easy to drive.
Good cabin space, airy and light.
Good equipment spec.
Progressive steering a joy in town and low speed and tightens up at speed.
Great mile eater and comfortable.
Good sound system.
Good safety equipment.
Good security equipment.
Good warranty
Bad points: Less fuel economy than predicted.
Excessive oil consumption.
Rattles and sqeaks in the cabin.
Flimsy feel to interior.
Unpainted (topcoat) under bonnet and other covered areas.
Flimsy bumpers and panels.
Front mud flaps scrape over speed bumps and heavily undulating roads.
Boot sill tto high.
Dealership not very keen to sort out problems and seem unaware of common problems.
Excessive charges for minor servicing £196 !!!! Main review: Citroen in general, need to listen to comments and act quicker.
Dealers are very lathargic and don't listen.
Charges are too steep.
Overall the car is adequate, but is let down by stupid cutting cost/corners.
Could do better CITROEN!!!
Reliability: 8/10 Practicality: 7/10 Performance: 7/10 Value for money: 8/10
