12-17-2003

Overall rating: 8/10

Good points:
Real head turner Classic design

Bad points:
Lacklustre performance from 2.0 litre engine Poor visibility

Main review:
I've now owned my GTV for two years and still think it is a very beautiful car that is destined to become a classic. From a mechanical point of view it has proven to be very reliable and I have covered over 30k miles of about town and motorway driving. The handling and ride is also excellent and it is great fun to chuck around on country roads. However the fun factor is a little let down by the very ordinary performance from the 2.0 litre engine - which is very free revving and sounds lovely but just fails to deliver sufficient power. The interior of the car is well bult and nothing has fallen off - but the aluminium look plastics are disappointing.

Reliability: 9/10

Practicality: 4/10

Performance: 6/10

Value for money: 7/10
