Alfa Romeo GTV Review & Road TestReview by www.new-car-reviews.co.uk
Summary As is often the case with Alfa Romeo cars, the GTV manages to achieve an elegance and stylishness that stands the test of time. Distinctly recognisable, the Alfa Romeo GTV also delivers on several other fronts, including the handling and road holding that one would expect of a car in this class. The GTV is either powered by a 2.0 litre petrol engine that delivers reasonable performance (0-60 in 8.5 seconds and on to a maximum speed of 137 mph) or the stonking 3.0 litre V6 petrol engine that hurtles the GTV from 0-60 in 6.8 seconds and on to a top speed of 154 mph. Alfa Romeo GTV prices hold up reasonably well and they tend to shift easily being a popular second hand purchase. On the down side the quality of the interior can be a little suspect and not quite a match for class leaders. In general visibility isn't brilliant particularly rearward - but that is the price you pay for the GTV's distinctive design. Rear passenger and boot space are also very limited.
